For anyone who doubted the Hi-N-Dry rolling aid would be able to function and aid kayakers who find themselves in a big whitewater hole, this video should serve to prove the Hi-N-Dry is king in holes. Notice how despite being worked in a violent class 3 hole, my dad's head remains above the water giving him access to air and buying him time to try to work his way out of the hole. The Hi-N-Dry has no problem offering enough buoyancy to stay above water even in a whitewater hole. Many people conjectured that the aerated water would not provide enough purchase for the float to keep the paddler afloat. Well, according to the mechanics of buoyancy, aerated water ASSISTS in adding to buoyancy because all of the bubbles displace water providing additional lift and buoyancy. Not only is his head above water, but with the help of the aerated water, his head, shoulders, and much of his chest remain above the water for the duration of the hole ride. The Hi-N-Dry is truly a welcome tool for anyone in a whitewater hole.
